Introduced HB 340 – This bill would repeal HB40                                                            

Summary: This bill repeals what HB 40 made into law. HB 40 forces all Illinois taxpayers to pay for abortions for those on Medicaid and state employee health insurance, through the full nine months of pregnancy. House Bill 340 “amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, the Illinois Public Aid Code, the Problem Pregnancy Health Services and Care Act, and the Illinois Abortion Law of 1975. Restores the provisions that were amended by Public Act 100-538 to the form in which they existed before their amendment by Public Act 100-538.”
