Description

The Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, H.R. 296, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC), and supported by National Right to Life, would prohibit funds under the federal Title X (“Title 10”) family planning program from going to entities (other than hospitals) that perform abortions (except to save the life of the mother, or in cases of rape or incest). The entities covered by the bill include, but are not lmited to, affiliates of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The bill enhances funding for Community Health Centers. The Senate companion bill is S. 105, sponsored by Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).
