Judge Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed by the Senate Judiciary Committee by and 11 – 10 party line vote. Representative Flake (R) cast his YES vote subject to an FBI investigation of Judge Kavanaugh. The investigation is to not take longer than a week (so they say).
Meanwhile, please pray for a good outcome. More to follow…
Supreme Court Nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh completed the hearings in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday September 7th 2018.
On Thursday September 13th 2018 the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote to move his nomination to a full Senate vote.
The Democrats could delay the confirmation vote up to a week – If the Republicans vote a party line ballot Judge Kavanaugh could be seated on the Supreme Court at the start of the October 1st session, stay tuned.
On September 4th 2018 the battle to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court will begin in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Chairman of the Committee Chuck Grassley had stated “as I said after his nomination, Judge Kavanaugh is one of the most respected Jurists in the country and one of the most qualified nominees to be considered by the Senate for a seat on our highest court”. The hope is to confirm Judge Kavanaugh before the Supreme Courts new term which begins in early October.
Planned Parenthood’s political arm and other “progressive groups” are using pressure to have Senators oppose Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation. These organizations are well funded and embraced by almost the entire media. They have defined Judge Kavanaugh as the key to overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.
That is utter nonsense!! Judge Kavanaugh brings more to the plate than the overturn of Roe. More will follow…..
